Terms of Use
Effective October 21, 2026
These Terms govern your use of editake, operated by Easecomm LLC (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using editake, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
The service
editake is an automatic video editor that transcribes your footage, proposes an edit that removes mistakes, pauses and retakes, and lets you refine and export the result.
Your account
You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep your password secure.
Your content
- You keep all rights to the videos and audio you provide. We do not claim ownership of your content.
- You grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the service to you — for example to transcribe it, generate an edit, store it and render your export.
- You are responsible for having the rights to the content you upload and for how you use the videos you create.
Acceptable use
- Do not use editake to break the law, infringe others’ rights, or upload content you have no right to.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer or misuse the service or its infrastructure.
Subscriptions on the website
On editake.app you can subscribe to the Starter, Creator or Unlimited plan, billed monthly or annually. Before you pay, the checkout shows the plan, the price and currency, the billing period and the monthly video allowance; the price shown is the amount charged. Payments are processed by Stripe on behalf of Easecomm LLC and appear on your statement as EDITAKE. One subscription covers both the website and the iPhone app — sign in with the same account.
- Free trial: a new account can start one 3-day free trial with the full plan. A payment method is required to start it. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the first charge is made automatically at the end of the trial at the price shown at checkout; if no valid payment method is available then, the subscription ends. The trial and the first paid month share the same video allowance.
- Automatic renewal: your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) and is charged to your payment method until you cancel.
- Cancellation: you can cancel at any time in Billing → Manage subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period (or of the trial); you keep access until then and are not charged again. Cancelling during the trial means you are not charged.
- Plan changes: an upgrade takes effect immediately and the prorated difference is charged at once (switching to annual starts a new annual period, with the unused time of the current plan credited). A downgrade, or a switch from annual to monthly, takes effect at the next renewal. During the trial, a plan change charges nothing.
- Videos: a video counts toward your allowance when processing finishes; videos that fail do not count. Unused videos do not carry over to the next period. “Unlimited” is subject to fair use, as described on the pricing page.
- Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails, Stripe will retry it and your account will show the payment as pending; if it cannot be collected, the subscription may end and access to the paid plan stops.
Your legal right of withdrawal
If the law of the country where you live gives you a right to withdraw from a contract made online — for example in Brazil or in the European Union — you can exercise it within the period and under the conditions set by that law, counted as that law provides (the free trial does not shorten it). To do so, write to support@editake.app or use any other means the law allows. If you withdraw within that period, we cancel the subscription and refund in full the payments made under it, with no deduction for your use of the service, using the original payment method and within the deadline set by law.
Refunds
In addition to your legal rights, and without reducing them: if you are not satisfied, you can ask for a full refund of the first payment of a website subscription — the first charge after the free trial, or the first payment if there was no trial — within 7 days of that charge, by writing to support@editake.app. This is a voluntary commercial guarantee.
Outside your legal rights and this guarantee, payments already made, including for partly used periods, are not refunded. This does not limit any right the law gives you, for example if the service is not provided as agreed. After a refund, access to the paid plan may end.
Purchases made through the App Store are refunded by Apple, under Apple’s policies.
Price changes
We may change the prices of our plans. Before a new price applies to your website subscription, we will tell you in advance, by email or in your account, and, where the law requires your consent, we will ask for it. A new price only applies from a billing period that starts after that notice; if you do not agree, you can cancel before it applies and you will not be charged the new price. Prices of App Store subscriptions are changed under Apple’s rules.
Subscriptions through the App Store
When you subscribe in the iPhone app, payment is charged to your Apple ID, subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and you manage or cancel them in your App Store account settings. Purchases on Apple platforms are also subject to Apple’s standard licensed-application terms.
Website and App Store subscriptions are separate and are each managed where they were bought. You only need one: if you have both, cancel the one you do not want — neither is cancelled automatically.
Availability
We work to keep editake reliable but provide it “as is”, without warranties. Automatic editing is a tool to speed up your work; you should review the result before publishing.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Easecomm LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of content you have not kept a copy of. Keep your original footage.
Termination
You may stop using editake and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for a breach of these Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer, this choice does not take away the protection given to you by the mandatory laws of the country where you live, nor your right to go to the courts or consumer authorities that those laws make available to you.
Changes
We may update these Terms; we will update the effective date and, for material changes, notify you.
